Outlook On Major Tournaments At BetMGM Poker

Players at BetMGM Poker will notice that the platform falls under the banner of the partypoker US Network. BetMGM and partypoker function as online gaming partners, as BetMGM Poker MI runs on partypoker software.

The partypoker US Network includes a New Jersey collection of online poker skins. Partypoker NJ, BetMGM Poker NJ, and Borgata Poker operate as the official sites that comprise the partypoker US Network.

The regulated online poker market in the US could be on the precipice of a boom period. The World Poker Tour regularly runs special tournament series on the partypoker US Network, and Michigan players can expect WPT events to arrive in Michigan at some point as well.

December of last year saw the WPT run a Main Tour event as an online tournament for the first time ever. The WPT Online Poker Open featured a $3,500 buy-in, $1 million guaranteed Main Event, offering one of the largest guaranteed prize pools in the history of the US regulated online poker industry.

The WPT could bring Michigan-only events to BetMGM Poker MI in the near future. BetMGM Poker MI could also merge player pools with the New Jersey component of the partypoker US Network, as Michigan has a multijurisdictional online poker bill already in place.

The passage of that bill points to Michigan likely joining an interstate poker compact in the future. Check back with casinoreviewbank.com for the latest developments on Michigan’s regulated online poker sites.
