Two New Payment Options Available At Michigan Online Gambling Sites

Since launching on January 22, 2021, the Michigan online gambling market has been incredibly successful. And now, it stands to grow even more, thanks to two new payment methods available at specific Michigan online casino and sports betting sites

Golden Nugget is expanding its partnership with Paysafe into the Michigan online gambling market, adding a new payment option to the company’s online casino offering.

Additionally, the Michigan Gaming Control Board (now with a new executive director) has authorized PayNearMe to take cash deposits for partner William Hill. PayNearMe is already partnered with FanDuel and BetMGM in Michigan.

Golden Nugget Michigan And Paysafe

Players at Golden Nugget’s Michigan online casino can make safe, secure deposits via debit card, credit card, and ACH transfer. Golden Nugget is already a leading brand in New Jersey, and this addition of new payment options could serve to give the operator an edge in Michigan.

Gregory Kirstein, Vice President of Business Development, iGaming at Paysafe, said: “We’re delighted to grow our partnership with Golden Nugget into Michigan, and we’re pleased that they recognize our value in supporting customer acquisition, retention and overall revenue growth in the states where they are now operating. We look forward to continuing our dedicated support in Michigan in collaboration with Global Payments.”

Thomas Winter, President at Golden Nugget Online Gaming, commented: “Like every U.S. iGaming operator, getting payments right has always been an important focus for us. Our partnership with Paysafe in New Jersey has helped us streamline and improve payments for us and our customers, and so when we chose to enter the bigger market of Michigan, extending the partnership was an easy choice that made sound business sense.”

William Hill And PayNearMe

William Hill, which was recently purchased by Caesars, was authorized by the MGCB to start taking cash payments via PayNearMe.

PayNearMe allows online bettors to make cash deposits at partner locations, including hundreds of 7-Eleven retail stores.

Michigan On The Rise

Nearly six months after launch, Michigan’s online casino and sports betting market is showing signs of becoming a bonafide leader in the space. The state legalized sports betting with fewer restrictions than most of its counterparts (in-state college bets are fair game, for example, whereas New Jersey is just getting around to allowing them). And the one-two punch of sports betting and online casinos made for a full-fledged market that can mature faster than many others. All the while, Michigan’s market has consistently broken its own revenue records

Simply put, Michigan is a massive online gambling market, and it’s only going to go up from here.
