Pai-gow poker Go Casino game:
Pai-Gow Poker traces it roots to the ancient dominoes game, which literally means ‘make nine.’ Fred Wolf, however, invented the current game format, in the ‘80s.
This game has come a long way from its humble beginnings. It is now a favorite among Las Vegas casinos, where many players appreciate its very simple and exciting game play. It has also been making waves in the online casino field. One can play Pai-Gow Poker online at Go Casino.
This game is played on a standard 52 card deck, including the Joker. Each participant is given 7 cards, with the aim of making two hands from those seven cards. One is the standard 5-card poker hand, and the other is a two-card hand.
The player’s stake is at odds between the two-card hand called ‘up front’ and the 5-card hand called ‘behind.’ A player has to beat both of the hands that the dealer will make with his respective 7 cards. If a player successfully does that, he or she will win both pots.
The 5-card hand makes use of the same ranking scheme as in any poker game. The only exception, however, is that ‘Five of a Kind’ with the Joke ranks higher compared to a Royal Flush.
In the 2 card hand, Pairs rank first, then the high cards. A pair of Aces is considered the best possible 2-card combination, while the worst is 3-2.
In this game, the Joker can be tapped to complete a Flush or a Straight in a 5-card hand. It can also be used as an Ace.
