Michigan Gamblers Can Bet On 2021 Oscars

Gamblers in Michigan can place bets on the 93rd Academy Awards, which will be broadcast live on April 25th on ABC and on the ABC App.

Approval from the Michigan Gaming Control Board makes Michigan the third state to legalize betting on the awards, commonly known as the “Oscars.” New Jersey and Indiana previously legalized gambling on the event.

Given the challenges brought on by Covid, the motion picture industry had experienced a difficult time over the last 14 months. Still, many excellent films have been released despite a reduction on overall production.

The movie Nomadland and its’ director, Chloe Zhao have emerged as favorites to take home the iconic gold statue. Chadwick Boseman (Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom) is also a favorite in the best actor field.
