Michigan’s largest casino, Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort, has entered an agreement that will see them offer online sports betting and online casino gaming. GAN Limited and the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan, who own and operate the Soaring Eagle Casino, will partner to operate on GAN’s GameSTACK™ enterprise software platform. This is GAN’s ninth client using their proprietary iGaming platform, and their fourth in Michigan.

The State of Michigan legalized online gambling and sports betting in late 2019, and regulations were finalized and online betting was launched in the state in January of this year. There are currently 12 land-based casinos in Michigan that operate an online gaming app or platform, for either online casino betting or sports betting.

In total, the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe paid out 20 percent ($6.1 million) of “the statewide total of $30.5 million from casino gaming revenue by the state’s 12 federally-recognized tribes,” according to the Michigan Gaming Control Board.
