At the burger shack, you can either sit down on the patio or order your food as a takeaway. The bar which runs down one side of the casino will ensure that you enjoy a beverage of your choice. They also have great food & drinks specials which run throughout the year.
At the burger shack, you can order the famous Awful Awful hamburger – awfully big and awfully good - which the Nugget has been serving for 50 years. That sure is saying something.

Jim Kelley’s Tahoe Nugget does not provide a shuttle service, but you can use streamliner 652 to reach the casino. You can also drive to your destination by following these directions: Drive on I-580 S. Use the right 2 lanes to take exit 56 to merge onto NV-431 W/Mt Rose Hwy. At the traffic circle, take the 1st exit onto Tahoe Blvd. Continue onto NV-28 W/Lakeshore Blvd and Jim Kelley’s Tahoe Nugget casino will be on your left side.
This tiny casino has impacted the local community and they have supported it for 50 years. The owners are good people who care about the community and the staff are friendly and helpful. The food is good and well priced, the drinks are affordable and the atmosphere is geared towards having fun with lots of laughter thrown in. A down to earth casino but well worth a visit. There is no shuttle service but free parking is available for your vehicle. Take I-580 S. Use the right 2 lanes to take exit 56 to merge onto NV-431 W/Mt Rose Hwy.
