Four Winds Casinos And The Pokagon Band

The Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo was opened in 2007 by the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi. It’s a combination hotel, casino, and entertainment venue.

In 2011, the Band opened the Four Winds Hartford casino, located in Hartford, Michigan. It offers an inspired aesthetic drawn from the traditions of the people of the Potawatomi. The casino has 52,000 square feet of gaming space.

A third Michigan casino was opened in 2013: the Four Winds Dowagiac, located in Dowagiac, Michigan. It’s an intimate casino: a 12,000 square foot gaming floor with more than 400 slot machines.

In February, the State of Michigan authorized Four Winds Casinos to offer online casino and sports betting, making the Pokagon Band the 11th licensed operator in the state.

How Pokagon Band And Four Winds Casinos Impact Their Communities

The Pokagon Fund is a private foundation that works to enhance the lives of the residents in the New Buffalo area and near Pokagon Band communities, such as Benton Harbor and Benton Township. The Pokagon Fund has awarded $12.8 million to local governments and nonprofits since 2007.
