PointsBet Michigan has become the 11th online casino to offer live gaming options for customers living in or visiting the state of Michigan. Live gaming was approved on July 22, and the number of online casinos has steadily increased.
Through a relationship with Evolution, which has a studio in Southfield, Mich., PointsBet Michigan customers can now participate in live dealer games, including Infinite Blackjack, Blackjack, European Roulette, Auto Roulette, and Baccarat.
Evolution’s studio features professional dealers running the games the same way they do in physical casinos across the state — the difference being that instead of having players crowded around the table, the games are being streamed live to players’ mobile devices.
“Online casino products have seen a rapid growth in the US, and the team at PointsBet is responsive to our users and eager to bring our customers the experience and games they are looking for,” Aaron O’Sullivan, Pointsbet’s vice president of Online Casino Revenue said in a statement.
Online Casinos Less Than 1 Year Old In Michigan
Online sportsbooks launched in Michigan in January 2021, and online casinos followed in May 2021.
“Since the launch of our iGaming platform, we have been working to diversify and expand the casino content we offer to players,” Manjit Gombra Singh, PointsBet’s president of Product and Technology, said in a statement. “Our live gaming options in Michigan offer top-tier choices for our players and will serve as a template as iGaming expands in other jurisdictions in the US and Canada.”
PointsBet has previously announced partnerships with the Detroit Red Wings and the Detroit Pistons, and their shared home stadium Little Caesars Arena. PointsBet gained access to Michigan via an exclusive partnership with the Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians.
